Is Carson Valley Days free to attend?
Yes. Admission to the Carson Valley Days festival area is free. Carnival rides, games, food, vendors, competitions, and select activities may require separate purchase.

Where is Carson Valley Days held?
Most Carson Valley Days activities take place at Lampe Park in Gardnerville, Nevada, located at 1324 Waterloo Lane.
Who organizes Carson Valley Days?
Carson Valley Days is organized by the Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club. Proceeds from the event help support local youth and community programs.
Is Carson Valley Days family-friendly?
Yes. Carson Valley Days is a family-friendly community celebration with carnival rides, live music, vendors, food, parade events, kids activities, competitions, and more.
Parking & Transportation
Where should I park?
Limited daytime parking is available near Lampe Park, including lots adjacent to Lampe Park along Waterloo Lane and at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center. Please follow all posted signage and directions from law enforcement and event officials.
Can I park at nearby businesses or shopping centers?
Parking at nearby shopping centers and private businesses is not provided by Douglas County or the Carson Valley 20-30 Club. Parking in those areas is at your own risk and may be subject to restrictions imposed by the property owner.
Is overnight parking allowed?
No. Overnight parking is strictly prohibited.
Can I park inside Lampe Park?
Unauthorized vehicles parked within Lampe Park during Carson Valley Days weekend are subject to citation and towing.
Is public transportation available?
Douglas Area Rural Transit and Tahoe Transport District offer limited scheduled bus services to and from Lampe Park. Click on either agency to learn more and view schedules.
Parade
When is the Carson Valley Days Parade?
The parade is held Saturday morning, June 13, 2026.
Where does the parade route begin and end?
The parade begins at Douglas High School and travels along Highway 395 before ending at Lampe Park.
Will there be road closures for the parade?
Yes. Temporary road closures will be in effect along portions of Highway 395 and surrounding streets before and during the parade. Please plan ahead, arrive early, and follow posted signs and directions from law enforcement.
Can I enter a float or group in the parade?
Yes. Parade registration is available through our online form. Visit the Parade page for entry information, rules, deadlines, and registration details.
What should I bring to watch the parade?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, water, comfortable shoes, and a lawn chair if you plan to watch along the parade route.
Carnival
Who operates the carnival?
The Carson Valley Days Carnival is presented by Davis Shows Northwest.
Are carnival rides included with free admission?
No. Admission to the festival grounds is free, but carnival rides, games, and concessions require separate purchase.
Are there rides for younger children?
Yes. The carnival typically includes attractions for a range of ages, including family-friendly rides and activities for younger guests.

Vendors, Food, & Drinks
Will there be food vendors?
Yes. Carson Valley Days features a variety of food vendors offering fair favorites, snacks, drinks, and local specialties.
Is alcohol available?
Yes. A selection of draft and canned beer is available exclusively from the Carson Valley 20-30 Club Beer Booth. The club also partners with Center for Hope and Healing to offer frozen margaritas in the Booth. Proceeds from these sales go directly to local charities.
Are there shopping vendors?
Yes. The Vendor Market includes local businesses, handmade goods, artisan creations, community organizations, and unique finds from vendors across the region.

Can I apply to be a vendor?
Yes. Vendor registration is available through our online application process. Visit the Vendors page for application information and registration details.
Event Policies & Visitor Tips
Are ATMs available?
Yes. ATMs are available on-site.
What should I bring?
We recommend sunscreen, water, comfortable walking shoes, and a lawn chair for the parade or live entertainment.
Are schedules subject to change?
Yes. Event schedules may be adjusted due to weather, safety considerations, or operational needs. Lightning and/or severe weather near the event may affect operations. Carnival ride and attraction closures are implemented at the discretion of the carnival operator.

What happens if there is severe weather?
Event operations may be delayed, modified, or paused for safety. Please follow announcements from Carson Valley Days event officials, Davis Shows Northwest staff members, and law enforcement.
